These drugs should be used very carefully under close medical supervision. If medications have been prescribed by different doctors, a consultation is necessary to determine whether these drugs can be used concomitantly. In the event that the medication was prescribed by the same doctor, follow his recommendations. Concomitant use of serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (Faxolet) and selective serotonin receptor agonists (Cinie) may lead to serotonin syndrome. Serotonin syndrome is manifested, m.in, confusion, agitation, fever, sweating, ataxia, hyperreflexia, muscle clonic seizures and diarrhea. This condition is distinguished by the so-called triad of symptoms, which includes: 1. Vegetative disorders, i.e. increase in blood pressure, fever, diarrhea, vomiting and mydriasis. 2. Psychiatric symptoms, consisting of anxiety disorders, feelings of anxiety and confusion. 3. Neuromuscular ailments, i.e. recurrent cramps, pain and increased muscle tone. Therefore, if you observe such side effects, you should inform your doctor, who will decide on this basis what to do.
