Does Eliquis cause skin problems?

Hello! I come forward with a question. My grandmother is taking Eliquis 2.5mg. For over 3 years she has been struggling with skin problems of unknown origin. The problem began on the legs, red spots, scabs, subcutaneous papules. The skin is irritated, itches. Did any of you have side effects after this drug and how did you deal with them?

I ask myself the same question, with similar skin problems. May 16, 2026

Eliqise Probleme (Anonymous, 2001:9e8:b38b:cc00::) 5 months ago

Hello, yes, the skin problems come from taking Eliquise.
I am male, 60 years old and also took Eliquise from the doctor in the fall of 2025 for 2.5 months because of venous thrombosis. After 5 weeks, the massive skin problems started, so I stopped after consulting the doctor. I still struggle with the main problems today. Treatment with cortisone ointment helps somewhat.

Hello lovelies! So the itching, I have that too. It all started for me in the summer of 2025 on my "butt" with pimple-like redness. Unfortunately, I then got thrombosis again in September 2025, repeated after 3 years. In the meantime, a factor has been detected in the blood that indicates that I have a "predisposition" to thrombosis. After the hospital stay, I got the redness above the knee and also below (only the leg, which was swollen during the thrombosis). I then found out on the Internet that this is a post-thrombotic syndrome and treat the "spots" exclusively and only with Cicalfate and it has gotten better, at least it doesn't itch so much anymore.

I started taking eliquis a couple of weeks ago as prescribed by a doctor 5 mg * 2 times. On the 3rd day of taking it, there is a burning sensation in the legs below the knees, the legs seem to be burning inside and I began to feel heart contractions. You have to go, let her change the drug.

Hello so yes I have skin problems, balls under the skin as if little critters are running through our body, whistling and ringing in the ears, I tried to contact my angiologist, but doesn't want to answer me, he had told me that this pill was natural but no, it increases blood pressure which can cause strokes, so be careful, limit the dose, reduce it when it seems necessary,

After five years I feel the same problems ... right and left forearm and scalp! It absolutely does not pass without cortisone unfortunately!

I have been taking it for 5 years, 0.5 eliquis, 2 times a day. There is nothing wrong with the skin. The blood goes through the capillaries without clots, which means that it reaches the other of all cells.

I also have lumps, and by the way, they are terrible, all these anticoagulants, it's scary to take them, you can't drink anything with this pill, you can't eat, you can't treat yourself with herbs, it's a massacre

After taking eiliquis 2.5 mg, I have severe itching of the body. I have been taking it for 2 months.

I confirm, my grandmother has the same thing. She stopped it a week ago and it was over. It was the same with xarelto, although I think to a lesser extent. In addition, subcutaneous haemorrhages have occurred.

Good evening.
My husband takes Eliquis 2.5 twice a day. He has never had any skin problems but every now and then he forms micro creatures that move causing itching... Has it happened to someone else??? Let's avoid unfortunate jokes thanks to those who will give me an answer

BODZIO (Anonymous, 46.134.74.) 2 years ago

It's hard to give an answer because I have a similar problem, I have itchy skin mainly on my legs and most below the knees. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to say if it's because of the drug or if it's some other kind of thing. I've been taking eliquis 2.5mg twice a day for a few months now, but I'm not sure why itching is happening. I'm also interested in some possible antidote for this itching

The skin symptoms described by you are not listed as side effects of Eliquis in the product characteristics. In this situation, it is important to consult your grandmother's attending physician or dermatologist. If there is a suspicion that grandmother's skin problems may be related to the use of Eliquis, the doctor may decide to change the medication or dose, or take other appropriate therapeutic steps. If you are unable to get to your primary care doctor, the GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja I enclose a link to the page where you can check the availability of the drug in pharmacies in Poland and make a reservation of the drug in the selected pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/26713/eliquis-tabletki-powlekane/apteki I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/przewodnik-po-lekach-przeciwzakrzepowych
