Hello. I finished taking birth control pills on Sunday. I got bleeding on Wednesday and diarrhoea on Thursday. I took stopwatches and then 2 times laremide. Could this have weakened the effect of birth control pills? I will add that I did not take contraception at that time because I was just in a break. Am I still protected during the break? Despite the occurrence of diarrhea? Birth control pills are contracept.

Treatment with Stoperan and Laremid during the break from taking the pills could not reduce the effect of contraception. When used correctly, hormonal contraception provides protection throughout use, including during the interval between blisters: "If Kontracept is used according to these rules, the contraceptive effect also includes a 7-day period during which you do not take the tablets." It is very important to start the new blister on time, that is, not to be late with taking the first tablet from the new package. I would also like to point out that both Stoperan and Laremid are medicines containing the same active substance, loperamide. It is worth remembering this so as not to lead to a situation where the patient takes an excessive dose of the same drug under different trade names. I enclose additional information about the drug Kontracept - prescription preparations can be booked at WherePoLek and picked up stationary upon presentation of the prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/40729/kontracept-drazetki/apteki Our study may also be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje
