Hi I would like to know about the drug pramolan 50mg. I've been taking twice a day for 10 months now. If I do not see an improvement, whether I can gradually stop taking it, my doctor tells me to continue taking it, claims that it starts to work after a long time of use... I have the impression that from this drug I have frequent headaches and an increased pulse.

Typically, the effects of opipramol contained in Pramolan are observed within a few weeks of starting therapy. However, this is an individual matter - in different patients the effects of treatment may differ. In the question of continuing treatment, you should rely on the opinion of the attending physician. If, in his opinion, therapy should be continued, the use of the drug should not be stopped. Moreover, the process of "discontinuation" of drugs should proceed gradually, under the supervision of a doctor. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment may result in the occurrence of so-called withdrawal symptoms, e.g. nausea, vomiting, headache or insomnia.
