How could I get infected with trichomonas?
Hello, today being on a visit to the gynecologist found that I found trichomonas was prescribed the antibiotic metronidazole. Is it possible that my partner infected me during intercourse or is it possible that it was from a vibrator?

It's hard for me to say on what way the infection occurred, as I wrote below - most often it occurs through sexual intercourse. Treatment of trichomonas infection involves oral administration of metronidazole for 7 days for 3 tablets at a dose of 250 mg or as directed by a doctor. Your partner should also be treated. After a week, you can go for a follow-up visit.

Trichomoniasis infection can occur during sexual intercourse, but also when using the same towel as the infected person or using public toilets or saunas (less frequently). Bathing in the same water as an infected person can also lead to the development of the disease. In the case you described, sexual intercourse seems to be a more likely route of infection.
