Is there a chance of getting pregnant if I didn't use contraception the day before antibiotic therapy?

Hello, the day before the use of antibiotic therapy I had sexual intercourse. I have been taking birth control pills for 3 years. On the same day I took the contraceptive pill regularly at 1 p.m. and I took the antibiotic at 2:30 p.m. because of severe angina, the doctor did not tell me to wait but I did not think about contraception. Is there a risk that I could get pregnant?

In my opinion, after analysing your case, there is no risk of pregnancy. Please note that some antibiotics may interfere with the absorption of contraception and indirectly affect efficacy. We wrote about it here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-oslabiaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji In such cases, it is recommended to use additional contraception during antibiotic therapy and 7 days after its completion. When using an antibiotic, it is worth remembering about the shield-probiotic. This will protect us from unpleasant ailments coming from the digestive tract such as diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/probiotyki-czy-warto-stosowac-leki-oslonowe Probiotic That Will Be the Right Choice: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/69127/sanprobi-super-formula-kapsulki/apteki
