When does Levox improve? How long to use Levoxa for prostatitis? Should you be afraid of the side effects of Levoxa?

1) How long should it take for prostate inflammation to improve after starting Levox 500? 2) How long should levoxe be taken for prostatitis? 3) There is a lot of talk about side effects with quinolones, is there anything to be afraid of?

1. The levofloxacin in Levoxa is absorbed quickly and almost completely. The maximum concentration in the blood is reached after 1-2 hours after administration of the drug. The state of balance in the body is reached after approx. 48 h: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/43348/levoxa-tabletki-powlekane/apteki If there is no improvement after this time, I encourage you to consult a doctor. It is also possible to use the teleadvice offered, m.in. by the Gdziepolek.pl portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja 2. With prostatitis, 500 mg of levofloxacin (1 tablet of Levoxa) is used 1 time per day. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor depending on m.in degree of inflammation. 3. Any drug can cause side effects. This does not mean that every patient will experience them. The precautions described in the leaflet - e.g. for Levox - refraining from excessive effort - reduce the risk of side effects of the medicine. We wrote more about whether to be afraid of side effects in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow
