What should I do if I started using Evra patches on a day other than day 1 of my period?

Good morning, I started using hormonal contraception, I bought Evra patches. Unfortunately, I glued the first patch on the wrong day in my opinion. I got spotting 3 days ago, which I mistakenly thought was the beginning of menstruation and I stuck the first patch. The bleeding did not start, the spotting stopped. Should I peel off the patch and wait for my period? Should I continue wearing the patch? And am I protected in relation to this situation?

Please continue wearing the patch and use an additional method of contraception, e.g. a condom, for 7 days. If the patch was not applied on the first day of menstruation or you are simply not sure, there is a risk that the patch alone for the first 7 days is not a sufficient method of contraception. An additional non-hormonal method of contraception should be used for 7 days, counting from the application of the patch. Also I invite you to read the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje Information about Evra patches: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/28646/evra-system-transdermalny/apteki
