Before treatments requiring disruption of the skin integuments (excision of the birthmark) and mucous membranes (tooth extraction), there is no need to discontinue drugs for hypertension (Zofenil) and cholesterol (Zahron). Nevertheless - doctors should be informed about their use each time. The use of Acard - due to its antiplatelet (blood thinning) effect - is not recommended before procedures during which blood vessels may be disrupted and bleeding may occur. The effect of the drug lasts up to 9 days after taking the dose, so you should stop using it early enough, or follow your doctor's instructions in this matter. In the case of a cold, you can use medicines and preparations acting locally, e.g. throat lozenges, nasal drops/spray, syrups with a cough or expectorant effect. If fever, pain, etc. occur. Paracetamol can be used. Drugs containing ibuprofen and aspirin are contraindicated. With hypertension, preparations containing pseudoephedrine, codeine and dextromethorphan are also contraindicated. Please note that self-medication in case of infection can be continued for up to 3-4 days. After this time, if there is no improvement or symptoms worsen or new symptoms appear - you should see a doctor.
