No interactions have been shown between sulfamethoxazole and trimetroprim, the active substances Biseptol and hydroxyzine and citalopram, the active substance in Citabak, that could adversely affect their efficacy and safety. Therefore, there are no contraindications to their simultaneous admission. Special caution is advised when Citabax and hydroxyzine are used concomitantly. Their simultaneous use increases the risk of arrhythmias. Although this is a very rare side effect, its occurrence can be life-threatening or health-threatening. If both medicines have been prescribed by the same doctor, you should follow the recommendations. If both medicines have been prescribed by different specialists, it is recommended that you consult your doctor at the same time.
