Where and whom to ask about the availability of the vaccine?

I can't find this vaccine anywhere in my area. Where and whom to ask about its availability?

As of December 2023 (and more broadly from January 2024), a new vaccine against COVID-19 is already available. The vaccine is free of charge. People over 18 years of age can get it in a pharmacy or primary care center, children over 12 years of age can get vaccinated in a primary care center (it is not possible to vaccinate children in a pharmacy).

Here is a list of pharmacies providing COVID-19 vaccination services:

https://www.gdziepolek.pl/apteki/szczepiace-przeciwko-covid

It is the Nuvaxovid vaccine updated for the XBB.1.5 variant of the coronavirus, the so-called Kraken.

The vaccine is intended for everyone over 12 years of age. The referral was issued automatically and can be found in your IKP account, provided that more than 6 months have passed since the last vaccination against COVID-19.

The updated Nuvaxovid vaccine can also be given as part of the primary vaccination schedule. 2 doses of the vaccine are then administered, 3 weeks apart.

You can read more about how Nuvaxovid works here:

https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/szczepionki-na-covid-19-2#szczepionki-rekombinowane-bialkowe

The efficacy of the vaccine has been tested in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age. As many as 47,000 people took part in the tests. Some of them received Nuvaxovid and others received a placebo.

Studies have shown that the vaccine is about 90% effective against COVID-19 and significantly increases the number of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2.

As for the side effects, they are similar to other vaccinations. The most common symptoms are pain and redness at the injection site, fatigue, nausea, fever, chills. Symptoms are temporary and usually disappear after 2-3 days.

You did not write exactly what vaccine you are referring to. If you have a Nuvaxovid product, please read on. Otherwise, please indicate the correct name of the preparation. From 1 March 2022, Nuvaxovid COVID-19 can be used in the National Immunisation Programme, which means that only vaccination centres can order it and they may have the most information about its availability. Since COVID-19 vaccines are not commercially available, WherePoLek has no information on which pharmacies vaccinating against COVID-19 have specific types of products. However, you can check which pharmacies provide such a service at all: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/apteki/szczepiace-przeciwko-covid You can: - look for a vaccination point through the mojeIKP application on your phone, log in, enter the e-health category, click on the referral and select "Make an appointment for vaccination" - call the free hotline of the National Vaccination Program: 989 between 7.00-20.00 - contact the selected vaccination point - sign up through e-registration available at Home pacjent.gov.pl When registering for vaccination, you can choose the type of vaccine, which does not mean that all of them are always available. For example, only the Pfizer Omicron and Moderna Omicron vaccines are currently available as part of the booster vaccination (11.12.2022), but in my area, for example, it is currently possible to get vaccinated with Pfizer Omicron. Availability can therefore also be locally variable. I enclose additional information: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/szczepionki-na-covid-19-2

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
