You did not give the name of the medicine in the question. If your question is about Saxenda marked in the tags, please read on. The use of Saxenda in type 1 diabetes should be treated as an off-label application, i.e. outside the registered indications. In the case of using the preparation outside the registered indications, the doctor should inform you about it at the visit and indicate the grounds for his recommendation. Saxenda is used to control weight in adolescents over 12 years of age and in adult patients with a low-calorie diet and exercise. It is intended for adult patients with a BMI above 30 or above 27 when overweight is accompanied by, for example, type 2 diabetes or hypertension. In the event that the doctor considered it justified to use the drug, you should follow his recommendations. Saxenda is not a substitute for insulin.
