Skipping the first pill from the blister of contraceptive pills - what to do?

Hi I use Jeanine contraceptive pills (3 packs and only a week's break - this is what my gynecologist recommended) after a week's break I forgot to take 1 tablet, so my break lasted 8 days and only on the 9th day I took the first pill. Is the risk of pregnancy increased if so for how long? And how should I act in this situation now?

In the described situation on the 9th day, you should have taken 2 tablets at the same time - the missed tablet from the previous day and the tablet from the current day. Then, for the next 7 days, you should use an additional method of contraception, e.g. a condom. After 7 days of using the tablets from the current package, the effectiveness of contraception will be ensured, then there is no need for additional methods of contraception. You should be aware that if intercourse has occurred during the previous 7 days, i.e. during the withdrawal break, the possibility of pregnancy should be taken into account in this situation.
