On Thursday morning I glued (without interruption) the first Evra patch from the new package, but on Friday afternoon after consulting a doctor - I peeled it off: is the contraceptive effectiveness during these 7 days reduced?

I have been using Evra patches since 3msc, 2 weeks ago I started bleeding, which continues to this day. On Thursday morning I glued (without interruption) the first patch of the new packaging, but on Friday afternoon after consulting a doctor who ordered to stop using it for 7 days from that moment, I peeled it off. Is the contraceptive effectiveness during these 7 days reduced?

Usually, unusual interruption of hormonal contraception is associated with a decrease in its effectiveness. If you want to be sure of protection, it is worth using additional security methods (e.g. a condom) for the next 7 days. You can also consult this problem with a doctor who, knowing your treatment history, will be able to say something more.
