Why do I bleed after intercourse if I use a vaginal disc?

I had sex with my boyfriend, a few minutes later my blood started to flow profusely, a few hours passed and the bleeding did not stop. What could be causing this? I had this for the first time, I will add that I use a contraceptive disc.

Have you been using discs for a long time? During the first 3-6 months of using vaginal discs, irregular spotting and bleeding may occur. This is related to the adaptation period of the body to the use of hormonal drugs. In addition, the abundant appearance of blood may result, for example, from damage to the contraceptive disc, which could damage the walls of the vagina. I encourage you to take out the disc and watch it if it does not bear traces, e.g. fracture. In the event that the bleeding does not go away and is abundant, I encourage you to consult a doctor. You can use the advice, e.g. in the form of a televisit. One of the possibilities is to use teleadvice through the Gdziepolek.pl portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/antykoncepcja-hormonalna https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/krazki-dopochwowe
