Hello, the gynecologist changed my tablets from novynette to liberelle. He recommended a break, after which I was to take the first liberelle tablet. Is the effectiveness in the break and the first weeks preserved and what is the probability of pregnancy?

Liberelle should preferably be started the day after taking the active tablet of the previous combined oral contraceptive (the last tablet containing the active substance), but no later than the day following the end of the typical interruption of the tablets or after taking the placebo tablets of the previous combined oral contraceptive. By proceeding in this way, the continuity of contraceptive protection is preserved. It is worth remembering that no method of contraception gives a 100% guarantee that a woman will not get pregnant.
