Existent contains pregabalin as the active substance. It is a first-line drug for the treatment of neuropathic pain of peripheral and central origin in adults. This is mainly a symptomatic treatment of neuropathic pain. Analgesic effects appear after about 1-week use. Neuropathic pain therapy also involves the use of non-pharmacological methods. Cryotherapy, physical therapy, magnetotherapy or hydrotherapy may be effective in alleviating it.
