If you used birth control pills as directed in the week preceding the start of your withdrawal bleeding break, you are protected from becoming pregnant during your withdrawal bleeding break. Withdrawal bleeding does not have to occur the same in each cycle. Sometimes bleeding may not occur at all in a given cycle and it does not necessarily mean pregnancy. To sum up, if you took the pills as directed, there is no cause for concern.
