Hello. Recently, before the late period, I had unprotected sex. At the weekend, i.e. Saturday day of intercourse, I had spotting as for the period, on Monday I took an escapelle pill I felt tired after it and I had nausea general breakdown, spotting yesterday was much less and today I.e. Wednesday spotting came under the brown color. Has the tablet been properly absorbed?

My period was late because I have irregular menstruation, although every month it was close to the date on which I had sex. And in the near future I did not grow it only on Saturday.

If you have not vomited after taking the Escapelle tablet, it should be absorbed normally, i.e. its component should pass from the digestive tract to the blood and cause an effect that consists in delaying or inhibiting ovulation. Escapelle can be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. If your period has been delayed and you have been sexually active in this cycle, it is recommended to be careful before taking Escapelle and, for example, taking a pregnancy test. The documentation of the drug also draws attention to this possibility: "The patient may already be pregnant if menstrual bleeding is delayed for more than 5 days or there is unusual bleeding on the day of the expected menstruation." However, on the basis of the described ailments, it is difficult to assess what their cause is - it may be an undesirable effect of the tablet, but also the effect of hormonal disorders. If you have doubts, it is advisable to consult a gynecologist.
