Can I change them to Beto 50 ZK for a week while taking Propranolol Accord 40 mg tablets? I will have a way out and I would like to drink a little, when earlier I took Beto 50 ZK everything after alcohol was fine, and I read that propranolol works worse with alcohol hence the question:) I just want to know if there is a possibility and if there may be any side effects.

Both drugs mentioned in the question have the same mechanism of action (they belong to the group of beta-blockers). These are drugs that slow down the work of the heart, increase the efficiency of pumping blood and lower blood pressure. Alcohol may increase the hypotensive (pressure-lowering) effect of beta-blockers or increase side effects such as headaches and dizziness or a feeling of bewilderment. Therefore, it is best to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment with this drug - this brings with it, for example, an increased risk of falling or the risk of accidents while performing activities that require concentration. Especially at the beginning of the course of treatment or after increasing the dose, when the body's reaction to the drug is not yet known, it is best to completely refrain from alcoholic beverages. Do not change the therapy without consulting the attending physician, or suddenly discontinue drugs from the group of beta-blockers. It is recommended to gradually reduce the doses over a period of 7 to 14 days. Especially this applies to patients with coronary heart disease. I recommend our article on combining drugs with alcohol: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/tematy/czy-mozna-laczyc-leki-z-alkoholem
