Is it possible to use Tormentile Forte ointment for chafing in intimate places during pregnancy? Before pregnancy I used and always helped, but I do not know if now the ointment will not harm the baby

There are no studies available confirming whether the use of Tormentile Forte ointment in pregnancy is safe. However, it is a preparation for topical use, whose components (zinc oxide, borax, ichtamol) can to a small extent enter the systemic circulation and thus to the child, and in animal studies it has not been shown that they have a teratogenic effect (cause fetal defects). Therefore, it is likely that short-term use of the preparation will not pose a danger to the child. However, it is recommended to consult the use of any medication with the gynecologist conducting the pregnancy.
