After inserting the disc on the first day of natural bleeding, it will continue, although some patients report that the bleeding is shortening or lengthening. When using the puck, you will no longer have a physiological cycle and "normal" menstruation on the date of the calendar - there will be only withdrawal bleeding. Sometimes spotting or midcyclic bleeding may occur at the beginning of hormonal contraception, but these should disappear after about 3 months.
