Can I be pregnant if I had sex before and after taking escapelle?
Hi I had my period regularly- ost. 14th of March. The rapprochement took place on the 28th. Fearing to get pregnant, I took escapelle. On the second day, the partner again ended up inside. Nir knew about taking the pill. The question is whether it is possible for me to get pregnant? Today is April 11 and I should have a period but still jie appeared. My stomach hurts like during my period. I did a pregnancy test but it came out negative. I ask for a professional opinion.

Your entry shows that not a month has passed since the intercourse, but just about 14 days, since the rapprochement took place on March 28. The fertile time in the cycle can only be calculated by knowing its length (usually indicative - based on notes "from the calendar"), and not only the date of occurrence of bleeding. The more homogeneous the cycles, the more accurate such estimates are. A month has passed since the intercourse. Talk about the latter after taking the tablet. The test came out negative. Do I have to repeat it? Having a period from March 10-13, my ovulation cycle started around the 20th, right?

A quickly taken Escapelle tablet prevents pregnancy and is effective in this indication, but it is not 100% effective. Escapelle delays or blocks ovulation - it is believed that it is most effective if taken before ovulation. To avoid pregnancy, further intercourse after using the pill should be protected, for example, with a condom: "If after using the Escapelle tablet there is another unprotected sexual intercourse (also in the same menstrual cycle), the pill will not have a contraceptive effect and there is a risk of getting pregnant again." After using Escapelle, menstrual bleeding is usually normal and starts on the same day as usual, but sometimes it can occur a few days later or earlier. If about 14 days have passed since intercourse, then the test could already show pregnancy if it happened. According to the drug documentation: "If menstrual bleeding begins more than 5 days later than usual, if there is unusual bleeding during this time, or if the patient suspects that she may be pregnant, then she should make sure that she is pregnant with a pregnancy test." Therefore, if the bleeding does not occur for up to 5 days, you can repeat the pregnancy test.
