If you take magnesium with vitamin B6 and vitamin B complex, you duplicate the source of vitamin B6, because it will be available in both products. The content of vitamin B6 in preparations with magnesium and in "B complex" products can be different: from 1.4 mg (100% RSW - Reference Intake Value), through 4 mg (286%), 5 mg (357%), and even 10 mg or 11.20 mg (800%). Vitamin B6 in high doses is neurotoxic. However, in order for the nervous system to be damaged, doses exceeding 50 mg per day for a long time are necessary. Presumably, taking over-the-counter magnesium + vitamin B6 and B complex products will not result in achieving such doses, but such supplementation does not seem rational if you do not have vitamin B6 deficiencies. It may be sufficient to take a set of B vitamins and magnesium alone. If you have any doubts about what doses you need, you can consult your family doctor, especially if you have been prompted to take vitamins and minerals by any ailments.
