Why did the mirena insert fall out after 3 weeks? It was put on during menstruation and at the next one after 3 weeks it fell out. On the ultrasound it was clear that she was well put on. Is there a high probability that the second time it is inserted, it will also fall out? It was founded 3 weeks ago for 2 weeks I bleed alternately with spotting

To @Jajajaj:
Intrauterine devices, both copper and hormonal (e.g. Kyleena), are very effective methods of contraception and their effectiveness does not depend directly on body weight.
Copper IUDs work by creating an environment that is unfavorable to sperm, and hormonal IUDs, like Kyleena, release a small amount of the hormone that acts locally. Body weight could be potentially important for hormonal methods with systemic action, such as birth control pills, but IUDs work mainly locally.
And if I weigh 80 kg and I have 170 and I have a copper cartridge, does it mean that it may not work either? On the effectiveness ? Or with Kylen?

It may happen that the Mirena insertion will slide out during menstrual cramps. The likelihood of the system falling out increases when the patient is overweight at the time of insertion of the IUD or has had heavy menstrual bleeding in the past. Expulsion of the Mirena system occurs in no more than 1 patient in 10 using the IUD: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/49634/mirena-przyrzad/ulotka/49767 The assessment of the probability of another Mirena system being extended can be made by a doctor after an interview and examination of the patient. In the same way, the doctor after the examination may allow to indicate the main cause of the expulsion of the previous system. I encourage you to report the occurrence of prolonged bleeding at the visit. I encourage you to report the occurrence of a side effect of the drug, which is its excretion, as well as the occurrence of prolonged bleeding. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote about how and why to report side effects in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
