Is Metypred a drug or poison?

Does this drug - Metypred have any positive effects, because the list of complications is frightening? Am I suitable for the treatment of otitis, because somehow the description does not follow? Is this not an exaggerated treatment of otitis with such a dangerous drug? If someone has glomerulonephritis, can he take this drug at all, where in side effects it can lead to their failure? Is it a drug at all, or poison?

Metypred contains methylprednisolone, which belongs to the group of glucocorticosteroids. These compounds have a strong anti-inflammatory effect. Among the indications for the use of Metypred there are no inflammatory diseases of the ears, which does not mean that the doctor cannot propose therapy outside the provisions of the leaflet, as part of the off-label procedure: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami It is used in numerous clinical situations, in the case of inflammatory diseases, in particular with a severe course. Rheumatic diseases, connective tissue, dermatological, allergic, eye, respiratory, blood, cancer, gastrointestinal, nervous system, edema, post-transplant or endocrine diseases are mentioned here. Any drug may or may not give side effects. All known side effects are listed in this leaflet for legal and safety reasons, but this does not mean that they will all definitely occur in one patient. In any situation, the benefit (improvement of health) to risk (possibility of side effects) is considered. The drug should be used if the benefits prevail: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow Metypred is a prescription drug and the legitimacy of its use is decided by the doctor. It is difficult for me to review whether this drug is "exaggerated" and safe in your case - perhaps other methods were ineffective or inadvisable? The answer to these doubts can be provided by the doctor who examined you and got acquainted comprehensively with your health condition, including the condition of the kidneys. About the treatment of otitis you can read in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/zapalenie-ucha-jak-leczyc-i-zapobiegac I attach additional information: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/48768/metypred-tabletki/apteki/w-warszawie
