Can I experience back pain when using the Mirena insole? Will it pass over time?

Can my spine hurt after the Mirena insert? Previously, I did not feel pain and as soon as I have an IUD on, it hurts at the bottom of my spine. Will this pass over time?

Back pain when using the Mirena IUD occurs quite often (in 1 to 10 out of 100 women) and unfortunately it is difficult to predict whether such an adverse effect will pass - this is an individual matter. If the pain is very persistent and hinders everyday functioning, you should see your gynecologist.
