A one-time change in the time of taking the pill from 20 to 10 does not affect the contraceptive effectiveness. The next day, take the tablet at the usual time, i.e. about 20. Although mid-cycle spotting may occur due to this one-time change, there is no cause for concern - protection will be maintained at all times.
