As I understand it, you mean a Polaring vaginal disc (this product is tagged in the question). It is not recommended to put on the disc during ovulation and this is not described in the documentation of the drug. Starting the use of Polaring differently than recommended by the leaflet is possible on the express recommendation of the gynecologist, who should also instruct the patient in this case exactly how and for how long she should additionally protect herself. If you have not used hormonal contraception in the previous month and you want to put on the first disc, then you should do it on the first day of the natural cycle, i.e. the first day of menstruation. In this case, Polaring works from the moment of foundation. You can also start using the system between the 2nd and 5th day of menstruation, but in this case, during the first 7 days, you should simultaneously use an additional method of contraception (such as a condom). This is the case for the first time when you are using Polaring. A properly used vaginal system in subsequent cycles ensures the declared contraceptive effectiveness throughout the use of the disc.
