Hi I have been taking Drovelis tablets for 5 months. Why is the level of D-dimer when taking this drug so different? I test them every 3 months and once it is higher and once lower? They were changed from My you (due to the high level of D dimery)

During the formation of a blood clot in the body, suppose as a result of the use of hormonal contraception Drovelis, platelets are activated and proteins of the coagulation system are stimulated in the blood plasma. The most important of these is fibrinogen, which is converted into fibrin. Its task is to create a "scaffolding" for a blood clot, which after some time disintegrates. This leads to the decomposition of fibrin and the formation of its decay products. One of them is D-dimers. In a fairly healthy person, D-dimers should be absent (norm up to 0.5 or 500 - depending on the laboratory). If they appear and have a variable value, it means that clots must be produced in the body, which decompose over time. The organism is "alive", therefore every day the results of the tests will not be identical, due to the variability of the processes taking place in it.
