Should Pulmicort be discontinued gradually?
Child 4 years .diagnosis of bronchial hypersensitivity after the disease. Coughs dry for 8 weeks. The pediatrician gave pulmicort. After two weeks I have to stop And I found an entry that steroids are discontinued gradually. How is it?

The principle of gradual reduction of the dose of steroid drugs applies primarily to oral drugs. In the case of inhaled drugs, whose absorption is small, so they have small systemic effects, there are no such strict recommendations or official guidelines. Despite this, doctors sometimes recommend gradually reducing the frequency of applications. In an individual case, it is best to follow directly the recommendations of the person who ordered the administration of the drug.
