For 4 days I take the drug escitalopram actavis, 5 mg per day on the 5th day I have to take 10mg. It is treated for social phobias. On the 3rd day at night my stomach began to burn very much, after a while my heart began to beat very quickly, I had the impression that I had a heart attack but after 15 minutes it was better. Tonight I also did not feel well, taking the drug feels worse, is it a side effect or should I stop taking the drug?

These symptoms may be related to the use of Escitalopram. Side effects should be reported to your doctor, you may need to change your treatment. According to the manufacturer, circulatory disorders (e.g. tachycardia - accelerated heartbeat) during Escitalopram therapy appear rarely, but if they occur, you should consult a doctor.
