It depends. Zolpic is a hypnotic drug - the hypnotic effect of the drug after oral administration, occurs quickly (already after 10-30 minutes after taking the drug) and lasts up to 6 hours. A person's normal sleep and wakefulness rhythm includes sleeping at night and being active during the day. Zolpic is indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia in adults. In this case, taking Zolpic for a day is pointless, because sleeping during the day will not help to cope with the problem of nocturnal insomnia, and will even exacerbate it. However, it is possible to imagine a unique situation when a patient for some reason leads a nocturnal lifestyle (for example, due to shift work) and needs to sleep during the day, and has a problem with this due to light, noise, other reasons. However, in such situations, the use of sleeping pills should be extremely carefully considered, since the tablet does not replace proper sleep hygiene and cannot be a long-term solution to the problem. Zolpic is a powerful prescription drug. If you have any doubts as to why you were commissioned and how to use it, it is best to clarify them with the person who issued the prescription and knows your case.
