Which drugs used for neurosis do not cause drowsiness?

Good morning. I have a problem with neurosis. Once I turned on olanzapine and fluanxol. Now another doctor has proposed lorafen. After the previous medication I was very sleepy I barely lived and I have 3 children and I can not function like that. I read that lorafen is hypnotic. I'm afraid I won't function again. Are there any medications for neuroses stress sedative that are not hypnotic?

Lorazepam contained in Lorafen has anxiolytic and hypnotic effects. Unfortunately, all drugs from the benzodiazepine group, which includes lorazepam, cause drowsiness. Among the drugs used in neurotic disorders that do not cause drowsiness, m.in, beta blockers and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are mentioned. I deliberately do not give specific names of medicines, because these medicines are dispensed only with a doctor's prescription. Only a doctor, after collecting a thorough anamnesis, can recommend the right treatment. If the prescribed therapy hinders your daily functioning, you should definitely seek medical advice again and ask for an alternative medication that will not cause drowsiness.
