Should I follow the leaflet or the doctor's suggestion?

When to insert the Ginoring disc? In August of this year, I stopped using hormonal contraception (pills) and now I decided to go back to it, but using a vaveatic disc. Since I have not taken any contraception for the last few months, and I intend to start taking the disc, the gynecologist told me that it is a bit pointless to put the disc on the first day of menstruation, because then I have intense bleeding (I did not fully understand this argument). He suggested that I put the puck in about 4/5 of the day when the bleeding would be over and then after 7 days contraceptive protection should appear. After buying ginoring, I read in the leaflet that if I had not taken any hormonal contraception in the previous month, I can normally put the disc on the first day of natural menstruation. I don't know what to do now. Should I follow the leaflet or the doctor's suggestion? It seems more logical to me to insert the puck on the 1st day of bleeding.
