Ketonal i Movalis należą do grupy NLPZ. Niewskazane jest łączenie NLPZ między sobą z uwagi na zwiększone ryzyko wystąpienia działań niepożądanych, a przy czym nie zwiększa wpływu terapeutycznego na pacjenta. Według aktualnego piśmiennictwa medycznego zażycie nawet dwóch różnych NLPZ, zwiększa ryzyko uszkodzenia nerek lub wątroby aż siedmiokrotnie.

Farmaceuta w obrębie swoich kompetencji może zaproponować środki przeciwbólowe dostępne bez recepty, nie należące do grupy NPLZ:
