Can a PCR test still detect Covid 5 days after the onset of symptoms?
Will a PCR test for covid detect the virus if I was sick 4 days ago? So on Friday and Saturday I had a fever and a sore throat, and on Wednesday the following week (today) I had a PCR test for covid. Can the test still detect covid?

Z Pani wpisu wynika, że objawy choroby wystąpiły 5 dni temu. Jeśli tą chorobą jest COVID-19, to test PCR najprawdopodobniej wyjdzie dodatni. Test PCR jest czuły i pozwala wykryć zakażene SARS-CoV-2 już we wczesnej fazie infekcji. Jednocześnie "+" wynik testu PCR będzie utrzymywał się przez całą fazę aktywną, a nawet do kilku tygodni po ustąpieniu objawów (można spotkać się z informacjami, że nawet do 3 miesięcy).
