Can I increase my dose of Metypred? How long does RA treatment take?

Good morning. For a week I took metypred 16 mg once a day in the morning since yesterday I have to take half the pills for a week due to the suspicion of ra. My knees hurt my feet. There is no improvement . Should I go back to a higher dose? How long does the treatment of ra take. Is watershed night sweats normal with this disease.
