Can I use Propranolol and Agomelatin together?

Hello. I have been taking Propranolol 2x80mg (spontaneous tremor) for several years now. Recently, a doctor recommended Agomelatyne to me. Can I combine both drugs?

Łączne stosowanie leków Propranolol i Agomelatyna powinno odbywać się wyłącznie z zalecenia lekarza. Lekarz powinien mieć świadomość stosowanych leków.

W przypadku, gdy lekarz nie wiedział, że zażywa Pan Propranolol, zachęcam do ponownej konsultacji. Propranolol jest inhibitorem enzymu wątrobowego CYP1A2, który metabolizuje agomelatynę. Łączne stosowanie leków może spowodować zwiększenie stężenia agomelatyny we krwi i zwiększenie ryzyka wystąpienia działań niepożądanych.
