Do the numerous bleeding after a year of taking Microgynon 21 herald something serious?
Hi, I wanted to ask on one thing. From February 2020 I take Microgynon 21 tablets, they have been prescribed to me due to irregular and strong periods and prolonged. So far it has been all well and good but somehow from February 2021 withdrawal bleeding has become as nightmarish as menstruation before tablets (pain, duration and abundance also increased) to this came daily spotting. In 2018, I had a polyp in my neck but it disappeared without the intervention of a doctor. Yet every month I have infections do not know where this additional problem is also. I am under constant control of your doctor,i.e. you know once every six months. Is it the fault of the tablets or could it be,or something serious? I only have to see a doctor in 2 weeks at the earliest. Thank you for your reply.

Niestety, przyczyn krwawień oraz infekcji intymnych nie da się ustalić drogą internetowego wywiadu z farmaceutą. W tym celu konieczna jest ocena stanu dróg rodnych przy pomocy badania USG - jak wiadomo, nie ma takiej możliwości w naszej rozmowie, dlatego należy cierpliwie poczekać na konsultację z ginekologiem.
Po roku przyjmowania leku antykoncepcyjnego plamienia czy krwawienia nie powinny się już pojawiać, natomiast infekcje intymne mogą być skutkiem stosowania antykoncepcji - takie działanie niepożądane jest dość częste.
Krwawienia śródcykliczne mogą być konsekwencją chorób układu rodnego, między innymi, stanów zapalnych lub infekcji pochwy, chorób przenoszonych drogą płciową (np. chlamydiozy), nadżerek czy polipów szyjki macicy, mięśniaków macicy, a czasami, choć bardzo rzadko endometriozy (zwykle same tabletki są zalecane podczas leczenia endometriozy).
