If I take the antibiotic Azycin, can I take Thiocodin for the night with a very tiring cough?
I take an antibiotic azycine, the cough is very tiring if I can take thicodin overnight.

Thiocodin does not interact with Azycin clinically.
Mrs. Olgo in the whole answer that you wrote still has no answer to the question asked. The person asking the question refers to specific medications and does not ask for advice or recommendation of medication. With all due respect, your answer is not helpful at all, because it does not answer the question that I asked myself and came across this entry. It's 1:00 a.m. the only antitussive product I have is Thiocodin and I still haven't even found out if I can take it using the antibiotic mentioned by the author of the entry. I am writing this because you may somehow notice this comment and refer more accurately to the main question, because as I came across this entry after two years, someone else may also need an answer to the above question someday:)

W przypadku bardzo suchego, nieefektywnego kaszlu, który zakłóca spoczynek nocny można zastosować wieczorem leki przeciwkaszlowe blokujące odruch kaszlowy.
Preparaty z kodeiną (takie jak Thiocodin) ze względu na szereg przeciwwskazań i możliwych działań niepożądanych nie są w mojej praktyce produktami pierwszego wyboru. To miejsce zajmują substancje takie jak lewodropropizyna, ze względu na potwierdzoną skuteczność i bezpieczeństwo, ewentualnie dekstrometorfan (np. kapsułki w połączeniu z wyciągiem z lipy i melisy, co może być korzystne przy stosowaniu na noc) lub butamirat.
Pomocne może być także nawilżanie dróg oddechowych (inhalacje lub nebulizacje) oraz włączenie leków naturalnych zawierających związku śluzowe i o właściwościach łagodzących.
