Afobam jest lekiem wydawanym z przepisu lekarza, zatem decyzję o tym, czy pacjent cierpiący na niewydolność serca, z niskim ciśnieniem i w podeszłym wieku, może stosować ten lek podejmuje lekarz w oparciu o wywiad z pacjentem i dokumentację jego zdrowia.
