Can elevated levels of Lyme disease antibodies show that I have coronavirus?
I have been diagnosed with Lyme disease, elevated IgG and IgM (not treated with antibiotic therapy). I will have tests for the Corona virus, so whether these elevated values can show in the PCR test (apparently poor quality) that I have the Covid-19 virus (because I think IgG and IgM are also tested there.

Bada się specyficzne, konkretne przeciwciała. Te przeciwko boreliozie są inne niż wytwarzane przez organizm w odpowiedzi na zakażenie wirusem SARS-CoV-2.
Poza tym, jeśli będzie miał Pan wykonywane badanie PCR (polymerase chain reaction), to znaczy, że wirus będzie wykrywany metodą molekularną. Poszukiwany będzie materiał genetyczny wirusa. Jest to zupełnie inny rodzaj badania, niż badanie poziomu przeciwciał.
