Hello! I am using my EVRA patch for the first time. First week left and edges of my patch peeled off at the edges for few last days. I took a photo when took it off. Could you please say, whether it’s normal or not?

When using Evra, slight peeling of the edges can happen, especially in the first few days, and in itself does not necessarily mean a loss of effectiveness.
However, if the patch still adheres well to the skin (most of the surface is sticky), it can usually be left in place. If it comes off completely or has been peeled off for more than 24 hours, then there is a risk of a decrease in effectiveness and additional contraception (e.g. a condom) and a possible patch change are necessary.
The place of application is also important – the skin should be dry, clean, without lotions and preferably on a flat area (buttocks, abdomen, upper arm). If the edges come off regularly, it is worth pressing the patch longer when applying it or consider changing the application site.
