Maxitrol ointment is usually used for 5-7 days, unless there is a clear justification for longer use of the drug.
Longer use of the preparation should be under the supervision of an ophthalmologist.

According to the leaflet, the duration of treatment with Maxitrol is determined by the attending physician. For glaucoma patients, it is strongly recommended to limit the treatment to a maximum of 2 weeks.
