Bezalip belongs to the group of fibrates, i.e. drugs that lower the level of triglycerides and the LDL fraction (the so-called "bad cholesterol"). The use of fibrates allows to further improve the ratio of LDL to HDL (drugs from this group modify lipid metabolism by increasing the production of the HDL fraction, which is beneficial for the human body). To sum up - it is an effective drug, used in the treatment of hyperlipidemia as monotherapy or in combination with other preparations (e.g. statins).
