Hello
Tomorrow I have a colonoscopy examination, after taking the second dose of fluid, I vomited. Will this make the examination very difficult? Should I do something in such a case? It's Sunday, 7 p.m., I have nowhere to get advice.
Thank you for your help.

Whether the test can take place depends on the degree of cleansing of the intestines – the key indicator is the appearance of the last bowel movement, which should be in the form of a clear, yellowish liquid without fecal residues. If vomiting occurred quickly after drinking a dose (up to 30-60 minutes), there is a risk that the preparation did not work fully, which may force the doctor to stop the test due to poor visibility.
In this situation, please continue to drink plenty of clean water or clear liquids to aid intestinal transit and prevent dehydration after vomiting. If the bowel movements are still cloudy or dark, the medical staff in the endoscopy laboratory should be informed immediately in the morning before the examination.
Do not take any additional laxatives on your own without consulting your test doctor.
