I would also like to emphasize that taking three ellaOne tablets does not increase the effectiveness, and may even harm it. ellaOne is a very strong dose of the hormone - a single tablet is the maximum recommended dose. Taking more can cause cycle disorders, delayed menstruation, nausea, abdominal pain or vomiting. An excess of the hormone can also interfere with the action of the drug itself, so the effect is not better, and the risk of side effects increases.
Delayed menstruation after ellaOne is common. If the delay is prolonged (2-4 weeks) or if worrying symptoms appear, it is worth contacting a gynaecologist.
