Swelling of the lip and palate after Acarizax in your child indicates a possible allergic reaction, which may occur both immediately after administration and in the days following the first dose. Such symptoms are not normal and may indicate angioedema, requiring immediate medical consultation.
It is important that you do not give another dose of the drug until you get medical advice, as the reaction may get worse. Reactions of this type are described in the Summary of Product Characteristics as possible side effects, especially in children and adolescents.
