Can excessive salivation after taking a Vibin Mini pill affect its absorption?
12.99 zł

Hello, I have an unusual question. I take the Vibin Mini contraceptive pill and for some time I have noticed that immediately after taking the pill a lot more saliva is produced in my mouth, which I have to swallow often for several hours. Does this have any effect on the absorption of the tablets?

No, excessive salivation after taking the contraceptive pill does not affect its efficacy or absorption as long as the pill is swallowed and not regurgitated (e.g. by vomiting within a few hours).

Pills like Vibin Mini are absorbed mainly in the digestive tract and not in the mouth. Excess saliva may only be an individual reaction of the body to the ingredient of the pills, but it does not pose a threat to their action. If the symptom is bothersome or intensifies, it is worth consulting a doctor.
